Potential threats posed by IT

-People might get there personal data stolen like bank details, passwords, if you are not careful when using the internet or social media - if blog authors choose to make others able to write on their blog they will need to make sure that the stuff being posted is not illegal

-Cyber-bullying/Online Harassment can happen online on social media, there are report buttons on most website were you can report anyone for Cyber-bullying

-Spam can be sent to your e-mail and can contain viruses or malware that can disrupted your computer most e-mails can sent spam and put it in its own sub-inbox called spam to keep it separate from non-spam e-mails that go into your inbox

-Viruses can damage computer but anti-virus software can protect your computer

Because of the internet information can be released to millions of people all over the world, this information can be helpful, but sometimes the information can be dangerous like people hacking in to twitter accounts and releasing personal information of soldiers (like what happened to US CENTCOM twitter) or other people leaking uncensored government documents that could put peoples life's in danger.

People may post information that may be illegal to post; the information may fall under the Data Protection Act so you will have to be careful what kind of information you post.

    1. not personally but I have heard about it when it comes on the news or when someone talks about it on Facebook

    2. I cannot stand spam, and email providers can only do so much too prevent it. I remember when i was new to the internet and I was not very conservative about my details, long story short spam is the reason I had to get a new email address

    4. I agree with mick, spam is terrible, my emails are continuously being filled with spam from companies which ensured they wouldn't send me them.

  2. I have never been a victim of cyberbullying but I have fallen into the trap of have my bank details stolen.
